Scenario
You need to create two new local user accounts on your virtual machine. User1 will be a local administrator and User2 will be a standard user. User1 will also assign a Microsoft account to your virtual machine and configure Windows Hello with a PIN.
Note: To complete Task 2, you need to have a Microsoft account to add to your VM. You can create a free Microsoft account at https://outlook.live.com9. Your instructor can guide you on how to create an account if required. ~
Activity 2: Configuring UAC
Scenario
You need to configure UAC so that when the UAC dialog box prompts a standard user, he or she can enter the credentials of an administrator account to gain elevated privileges. You also need to restrict the execution of unsigned applications.

Activity 3: Configuring Settings Using Windows Settings and Control Panel
Scenario
You need to validate device and Windows specifications, configure various Windows 11 settings, and determine which applications are slowing down the Windows startup process. You also need to modify Focus assist settings to change how app notifications are received during non-working hours. You need to use Windows PowerShell to test the scripting environment. To become familiar with PowerShell you will run several commands and the use PowerShell ISE to create a script to list all running services on the device

Activity 5: Customizing the Start Layout in Windows 10
Scenario
You need to ensure that Windows 10 devices contain the Contoso utilities apps on the Start menu. To do this, you decide to create and export a custom Start layout that only locks down the specified groups in the XML file. Users will still be able to customize other areas of the Start menu as needed.
Activity 6: Customizing the Start and Taskbar Layout in Windows 11
Scenario
You have been asked to ensure that Windows 11 contains the following apps pinned to the taskbar:
· Snipping Tool
· Sticky Notes
· Weather
You will add the apps to the Windows 11 Start menu and then export the JSON file to identify the app ids. You will then modify an .XML file that has been provided to you to include the apps on the taskbar. Finally, you will deploy the taskbar xml file using Local Group Policy.
